The former Bridgestone Museum has moved to a brand new building and renamed itself for the occasion "Artizon," a contraction of the words Art and Horizon. The gallery houses a large number of works of art gathered through donations by Shōjirō Ishibashi. From Rembrandt to Pissarro, Corot to Utrillo, Sisley to Cézanne, nothing of Western painting, especially the Impressionists, escapes him. Japanese painters such as Seiki Kuroda or Tsuguji Fujita are also honored. A remarkable private collection that has just been completely restored.
