Residence of Prince Yasuhiko Asaka in the 1920s, the building became a museum in 1983. People go there as much to admire this splendid Art Deco building as for the exhibitions that take place there. Prince Yasuhiko, having studied in France, asked the famous painter and decorator Henri Rapin (1873-1939) to draw the interior plans on his return. Both the building and the garden are worth seeing (Teien means Japanese garden). Since 2018, there's a restaurant serving French cuisine and overlooking the park in the museum.
