Chūō Street is a wide thoroughfare in the heart of Ginza, extremely popular on weekends when it is pedestrianized and onlookers lounge around on tables and chairs. It is called the "pedestrian's paradise". It is the most important passage of the district. You can see the Seiko clock (renovated in 2021-2022) or the iconic Sony, as well as all the luxury stores in buildings with eclectic contemporary architecture. Kimuraya-pan, the famous bakery, Itoya, Ginza Six or Fuugetsudo are located along this street.
