This is the home of the late painter Yokoyama Taikan (1868-1958). The name may not mean much to you, but he was one of the artists who left his mark on his era with his work renewing Nihonga painting, a Japanese painting technique that is highly respectful of certain rules and traditional materials. You can see a garden, as well as the traditional building. Emblematic works by the painter are on display inside.
