Founded in 1285 by Kakusan, Veuve Tokimune's widow, it is also known as the Enkiri dera Temple because, under the Meiji era, women who were abandoned by their spouses came to refuge. It houses a remarkable wooden statue of Suigetsu Kannon (th century), which bears witness to the influence of Song, an important Buddhist library (Matsugaoka) and a very pleasant garden where Kakusan rests. Behind the temple is a small peaceful cemetery.
