This restaurant serves just one dish: issen yoshoku, a type of pancake considered to be the ancestor of okonomiyaki. The name means "Western meal for a penny". It was an excellent street food, hearty and inexpensive. You can get it here for less than ¥1,000, a small price for a delicious pancake filled with multiple ingredients. This restaurant is a veritable institution in Gion. It's easily recognizable by the large plastic statue of a dog biting a man at the entrance, as well as by the tourists who throng the door.

Good address! Not too expensive and greedy! The decay is nice, and it's also popular with the premises!
