This restaurant specializes in "kappo" cuisine, a way of preparing meat and fish typical of some of the finest establishments. The lunch menu is quite affordable, and dinner is royal. You'll taste fish as well as obanzai, small dishes prepared simply with vegetables from the Kyoto region. Amago fish (a type of Pacific sockeye salmon), fugu and other types rare in the West are on the menu at this very good address. You can also sit at the counter and watch the chef.
