HOTEL SHE
A hotel offering rooms with blue-green walls and immaculate beds, evoking the vegetation of an urban oasis in the middle of the desert
This hotel, in stark contrast to Kyoto's ambience, plays on its location south of the (less touristy) train station to spin the metaphor of an American motel. The cafe's powder-pink velvet seats set the tone, as does the menu of ice creams in new flavors, banana splits and other desserts from across the Atlantic. Rooms with blue-green walls and immaculate beds evoke the vegetation of an urban oasis in the middle of the desert. To polish up the deliberately vintage feel, they are equipped with record players, which can be borrowed from reception.
