YADOYA HIRAIWA
Hotel offering traditional rooms, equipped with tatami mats, shōji, sliding paper doors and round windows
Located near the canal in an old brothel district, the traditional building was completely renovated in 2015, while retaining the beautiful façade and traditional interior. The welcome is warm and very hospitable. The tatami rooms have the charm of an old Japan, with their shōji, sliding paper doors, and round windows. All of this fits well with the atmosphere of a trip to historic Kyoto. We recommend it. And we're not the only ones, the hotel is quickly taken over! However, beware of the curfew (11pm).
