DAISEN-IN TEMPLE
In the Hōjō, some fusumas (sliding doors) were painted by Sōami (1472-1523), the creator of Ryōan-ji. On the other hand Motonobu Kanō and Yukinobu Kanō. Also shown is the alcove that would later become the Tokonoma. Around the Hōjō are three magnificent gardens, certainly executed by Shūko Kogaku, perhaps with the help of his friend Sōami. One of them remains famous for its arrangement of vertical rocks, white sand, and vegetation. A corridor divides it in two and allows for meditation on the image of Mount Horai.
