A market to discover local artisans who sell their creations: jewelry, decorative objects made of wood, metal and ceramics, leather accessories, gourds (mate), toys and puppets, etc. A nice place to find gifts at reasonable prices. About thirty stalls in total. A second market is located in the old part of town, on Calle Piedras, just across from the Mercado del Puerto. By encouraging these artisans, you help preserve Uruguay's cultural traditions and make their unique heritage known throughout the world.
