A true cultural landmark in Montevideo, the Brasilero opened in 1877 and carefully preserves its original architecture and design. Locals stop by after work for coffee and a bite to eat with colleagues. On the walls hang unpublished archives of Uruguayan writers and poets who once frequented the place: Eduardo Galeano, Mario Benedetti and Carlos Onetti. Accompany your dishes with a glass of malbec and bread with herb butter, enjoying the historical authenticity of this great institution.
