Ending the 18 de Julio Avenue and giving access to the Battle Park, this obelisk is a work of bronze and granite made by the national artist José Luis Zorilla de San Martín. It was inaugurated in 1938 as a tribute to the first Constitution of the Republic of 1830 and declared a national historic monument in 1976. Located in the center of a fountain, it rests on three bases representing respectively Law, Liberty and Strength, and rises to a height of 40 meters.
