The Museum of Visual Arts houses the country's richest collection of paintings by Uruguayan artists such as Joaquín Torres García, Juan Manuel Blanes, Pedro Figari, Rafael Barradas and José Cúneo. Across the street, a large garden where it is pleasant to stroll will allow you to discover some of the works of Torres García, Cardillo and Podestá. The collection is still very modest, with two rooms on the first floor (permanent collection) and two rooms upstairs (temporary exhibitions).
