The Carnival Museum was inaugurated in 2006. Located in front of the port of Montevideo and next to the Mercado del Puerto, it exhibits everything related to Carnival, that is to say, everything that constitutes a part of the country's identity. It is a fun and interactive visit in which you can discover various objects, masks, costumes, musical instruments and works of art from this popular festival. It is also an opportunity to learn more about the emblematic figures of the carnival, the murgas, the candombe, the llamadas, the comparsas... A very interesting visit.
