This 86-hectare reserve was founded in 1980 by the animal conservationist Tabaré González. The objective of the organization is the conservation and reproduction of native species, so you will find more than 250 animals in semi-captivity, including 53 species native to the region, such as the jaguar, armadillo, alligator and anteater. Continue your walk to the top of the hill where the cross of the same name is located (the ascent can be done between 9 and 15 hours).
