PLAZA DE LOS INGLESES
Also known as Plazoleta Gran Bretaña, it is located in Punta de las Salinas, on the border between the Río de la Plata and the Atlantic. Its name refers to the historical battle of the River Plate that took place in 1939, between the German battleship Admiral Graf Spee (which was scuttled by its commander) and the British ships Ajax, Achille and Exeter. The anchor of the ship Ajax rests on the square in memory of this confrontation. An ideal running target for joggers who will enjoy running along the embankment promenade.
