Bus Montevideo (3:30 hours, about $650) and Punta del Este (1:30 hours, $300), and in the other direction to La Pedrera (30 minutes, $80), Cabo Polonio (30 minutes, $165), Barra de Valizas (1 hour, $170), Punta del Diablo (1 hour, $360), Chuy (3 hours, $450), and other cities on the coast. Very frequent departures in high season. The companies Cynsa, COT and Rutas del Sol operate these routes. To reach Montevideo, there are several daily departures with COT, which operates between 5am and 7:30pm. There are also two local services - La Paloma-La Pedrera and La Paloma-Playa Serena.
