This Portuguese house built in 1795 houses the city's first museum, which was inaugurated in 1951. It overlooks the Plaza Mayor and can be accessed through the picturesque streets Misiones de los Tapes and de las Flores. It contains objects, pieces and archival documents related to the Real de San Carlos and the social life of the former colony. This is also your starting point for obtaining your ticket to the other museums in the city.
