This typical Portuguese house dates back to 1720 and today contains furniture, military uniforms, crests, ceramics, utensils and clothing from the early colonial period. The exhibition takes us through the different periods of Colonia's history and allows us to understand the recurring tensions between the governments of the two crowns that sought to control the region. In addition, it addresses the creation of the Viceroyalty of Río de la Plata and the end of the Portuguese presence in 1777.
