Inaugurated in 1910, this magnificent bullring is a National Historic Monument and has a capacity for 4,500 spectators. Bullfights were held here for two years until President José Batlle y Ordóñes banned them in 1912. Since then, the bullring has been transformed into a center for cultural and sports events.
