The house of the Marfetán family, which dates back to 1805, was rebuilt in 1966 by Colonel Carlos Marfetán while maintaining its original structure. A curiosity of this house is that it contains a secret tunnel that leads to the church. Today it houses the Santo Domingo Soriano Regional Museum and the Dámaso Antonio Larrañaga Library, inaugurated in 1988. The museum contains historical objects such as coins from the region, military archives, indigenous ceramics, old photographs and medicines.
