Inaugurated in 1981, the Museum of the Tradition gathers elements of the urban and rural life of the past: weapons, clothes, gaucho utensils, toys, decorations, etc. Of particular interest are a vintage wagon, a reproduction of a pulpería, a section on sanducera music (from Paysandú) and the Parque Indígena. Temporary art exhibitions in the side rooms. The building is located on a property next to the old Galán y Rocha hospital. Note the antique bell once used to signal the imminent arrival of an ambulance.
