The museum is located in the old central market, built between 1909 and 1915. It exhibits the main inventions and works undertaken by man to domesticate space. Explanatory panels trace the different stages of the colonization of the region. There is a reconstruction of an ancient pulperia, various machines, including the El Criollo locomotive , a Foucault pendulum and archaeological finds dating back 2,000 years.
