It was in this house with a light blue façade that the Uruguayan poetess Juana de Ibarbourou, also known as Juana d'América (1892-1979), lived until she was twenty years old, before marrying the soldier Lucas Ibarbourou and moving to Montevideo. There are objects, photos, dresses and furniture that belonged to the writer. The fig tree under which she used to write is still there. She even dedicated a poem to it.
