This monument, which will arouse your curiosity, is dedicated to the local hero, nicknamed "Little Dionisio". On the night of May 9, 1929, his grandfather, in a fit of madness, tried to stab his mother and sister. Dionisio, then only 12 years old, bravely defended them, but received the blows instead. He eventually called the police, but died when they arrived. The deceased child is now considered the hero of Arroyo del Oro for his exceptional bravery and ability to face adversity with stoicism.
