The Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is located 15 km from Old San Juan. It takes about 20 minutes to get there, when traffic is good. The airport is open 24 hours a day. It is recommended that passengers arrive two hours earlier for domestic flights (United States) and three hours earlier for international flights. Please do not confuse this airport with the Luis Ribas Dominicci airport, the airport of Isla Grande, near the old town, reserved for inter-island flights and private flights.
