HOWARD JOHNSON PLAZA DE ARMAS * *
Located in the south-west corner of the Plaza de Armas, this hotel has sought to blend the colonial style with a more contemporary décor. It has favoured very fine lines and a clear space in the public areas. The establishment, not as luxurious as you might imagine, will not delight those looking for bright spaces. Some rooms do not even have a window. The other major drawback is the sound of parts. With a structure that leads all the rooms to the central hall, the sounds issued in the public areas escape in all directions. Moreover, those who give on the street do not have double glazing even if the Plaza de Armas and its surroundings are not too noisy, past midnight. However, the rooms offer all the comforts of a hotel of this kind. As for the staff, it is very welcoming and attentive. Breakfast is no longer served at the hotel, but the hotel has discounts in some of the nearby cafés.
