It is the most famous cemetery in Puerto Rico. It is like the Père Lachaise of Paris for Puerto Ricans. Many famous Puerto Ricans from the world of art and politics are buried there, such as composers Tite Curet Alonso and Pedro Flores, actress Norma Candal and journalist José Julián Acosta, whose work for a long time focused on the abolition of slavery. The cemetery was built in 1863. It is located at the foot of the Morro Castle, on the Atlantic side. It is impossible to miss.
