HOMBRE DE PUERTO FERRO
On this site, the skeleton of a 4,000-year-old Indian was discovered in 1991. It is now installed in the small fort of the Count of Mirasol in Isabel Segunda. It has been attributed to a member of the first tribe to populate Vieques. The age of the skeleton has disproved the theory of archaeologists that the first humans reached Puerto Rico about 2,000 years ago. The area is surrounded by huge rocks, no one knows if they were moved or if they were already there. No other rocks of this type are visible elsewhere on the island.
