The Humacao Natural Reserve (now called Punta Santiago Natural Reserve) covers more than 3,000 hectares of land, canals and swamps. It is home to the largest forest of bloodwood, a deciduous tree whose orange flowers and red viscous sap are its main characteristics. Guided kayak tours can be arranged to navigate the wetlands. For this, you can contact Water Sports and Eco Tours (+1 787 852 6058).
