In the heart of the city, in Muñoz Rivera Square, the Plaza Hotel is a mainstay. The hotel houses a casino and two restaurants. The seven most beautiful rooms in the old building overlook the cathedral; modern, completely renovated, they have retained their colonial style. A more recent building, under renovation, at the back, houses the 62 other rooms, with standard comfort. Breakfast is served at the Melao. The Lola Eclectic Cuisine offers a cuisine that is very popular for its modeling of Caribbean flavors.
