MARY LEE’S BY THE SEA
No doubt, this is the most charming accommodation option in the area. This guest room is among the most pleasant in Puerto Rico. No physical address and for cause, Mary Lee's by the Sea settled along the sea in the middle of nowhere in the 1970 s. To reach this haven of peace from the centre of Guánica, take Highway 333, pass in front of Hotel Copamarina, then turn on the right and continue on 3 good kilometres. The owner of the premises, Mary Lee, lived in Cuba before all her property was confiscated. She then decides to come to this other corner of paradise. Set on a small hill down to the sea until reaching the water, the house offers many accommodation options, from studio to small two or three-bedroom villas. The decoration of the pieces is rather atypical with a legion of lights, lots of straw and color. Some may find it a little kitsch, but as it is fine, it becomes fun. Each apartment has its own kitchen. The address is therefore ideal for a few days. As the site does not have access to a beach, for a few dollars, the reception offers a small boat to cross the 400 meters separating the shore from Gilligan Island. From the different terraces, the view over the bay is superb. An address to remember.
