CHILKOOT CHARLIE'S

An Anchorage institution. Located in Spenard, Chilkoot Charlie's opened in 1970 as a piano bar before becoming a themed bar with costumed bartenders, extravagant parties and where many artists have performed over the decades from all over Alaska and the United States: Metallica, Greenday, The Beach Boys, Bryan Adams and many others. We like the immensity of the place: 3 stages, 3 dance floors and 10 bars (11 in summer). A vast museum of photos and autographs of the artists passed here, trinkets... enough to spend a few hours there.
