This cultural centre contributes to Dawson City's cultural vibrancy, its heritage steeped in stories about the Klondike Gold Rush and its almost 100,000 prospectors. Throughout the year, the institute organizes exhibitions, performances, readings and exchanges with artists. Also a place of residence for artists, KIAC hosts the Dawson Film Fest short film festival at the end of March and an outdoor art festival during the summer.
