THE SALTY DAWG SALOON
An institution in Homer and even in Alaska. This bar installed in 1897, at the beginning simple cabin for the gold diggers, is today the headquarters of the apéroteurs, as much of the locals as of the tourists who come here to benefit from the festive atmosphere and the fresh beer! You don't have to be too claustrophobic to stay in the back of this tavern with walls covered with banknotes, with almost no windows. You can play a game of billiards there. The prices are more expensive than elsewhere, but we are here in a historical place!
