MUSEUM OF THE NORTH
Beautiful museum housed in an amazing building in the shape of an ice floe, at the University of Alaska
The University of Fairbanks has a beautiful museum housed in a stunning white building in the shape of an ice floe, which traces the history of the Alaskan tribes with their lifestyles, customs, etc. The art section has paintings of the region's beautiful landscapes. One room is equipped with a sound system recreating the sounds of the planet in the universe (seismic vibrations, dance of the northern lights, sunrise or sunset...). A research station, located downstream from the University, allows the observation of musk oxen and reindeer in enclosures.
