This trail passes through a rainforest before reaching an alpine environment and beautiful views of the town of Haines and the surrounding mountains. A good way to appreciate the diversity of the ecosystem in Alaska. Beware, the trail climbs steeply with more than 1,000 meters of difference in altitude to the summit and requires very good endurance. This hike is to be favoured by good hikers. Between 5.5 and 6 kilometres of hiking, depending on the starting point chosen. The weather is changeable, so wear several layers of clothing.
