The Chilkoot Trail Outpost is located a short walk from Dyea campground and 500 m from the Chilkoot Trail departure point, hence the name of the facility. Fred and Kathy, the owners, were able to find a compromise between beautiful typical chalets and reasonable prices. Equipped with all modern comforts, these places where nature is the only neighbour are difficult to leave. The owners are also happy to tell the story of their town, with many anecdotes; Fred knows many of them, he has lived here since he was born.
