LOWER AND UPPER DEWEY LAKES
Go there and contact
Dewey Lakes accessible by fairly steep but short, smaller trails, and others much more difficult.
The Dewey Lakes can be reached by a trail from the centre of Skagway at the railway station. To reach the first lake, the climb is steep but short. A trail goes around the lake where a few equipped sites allow you to have lunch. Lower Dewey Lake is the gateway to its smaller cousin, Upper Dewey Lake. Much more difficult to access, it will require a good three hours of walking with a difference in altitude of about 1,000 m.
