ST PETER BY THE SEA
Wooden and stone church in Sitka with services on Sundays and Wednesdays.
St Peter by the Sea is a church made of wood and exposed stone. This church was inaugurated on the occasion of Thanksgiving in 1899. It was the very first church service in this church. St. Peter's Cathedral is one of the most iconic in Alaska. Directly behind the church is the Bishop's residence, called "See House", built in 1905 by Bishop Rowe. Today, church services are held regularly in the church and you can attend masses (Sundays and Wednesdays in particular).
