Leconte Glacier near the city of Petersburg organizing day and half-day trips.
It's one of the reasons why tourists stop here. The 34 kilometre long Leconte Glacier is the last one at the southern end of the Pacific coast. It is about 20 kilometres from the city of Petersburg as the crow flies. The only way to see it is from the sea. Day or half-day excursions are organized to get close to it and navigate between the pieces of ice that have broken away. An excursion not to be missed and to be reserved upon arrival in town or in advance.
