SAMUEL SIMMONDS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital is located in Barrow, Alaska. It is a Level IV trauma center and a ten-bed hospital accredited by the Joint Commission. It is managed by the Arctic Slope Native Association (ASNA), which represents the villages of Anaktuvuk Pass, Atqasuk, Kaktovik, Nuiqsut, Point Hope, Point Lay, Utqiaġvik and Wainwright. ASNA also offers social services aimed at strengthening local communities. The hospital encourages patients to pre-register prior to their visit to facilitate the registration process.
