If winter, especially in December, the sun never rises on Barrow, on the other hand, between May and August, the city benefits from the midnight sun where the sun never settles. The best place to admire this phenomenon is, of course, the ocean, oriented north, where one can see from east to west the trajectory of this ball of fire that illuminates the sky and gives it thousand reflections depending on the hour of the day. For the bravest, soaking feet in the most northerly part of the United States may give you chills… cold!
