THERANDA HOTEL
Small, central hotel in a villa with garden. Some rooms a little old-fashioned. But very good value for money.
Named after Tirana's former Byzantine stronghold, before the city was founded, this charming little hotel opened in 2008 and is housed in a vast villa in one of the city's last working-class districts. Rooms are not very large, but well appointed, even if some details need to be reviewed (bathrooms sometimes old-fashioned, no blackout curtains...). Good breakfast served in the garden when the weather's fine, friendly staff, meeting space, airport shuttle, free street parking on reservation.
