PONT DE BRARI
Beautiful Ottoman stone structure spanning the Tirana River in the northern part of Mount Dajti National Park.
This Ottoman bridge (Ura e Brarrit) has spanned the Tirana River since the 18th century. It was used to link the village of Brarr (3.5 km to the north) with the Dibra region (Peshkopi). Featuring an 18 m-long arch and curved deck, it is built on the base of a Roman bridge, the foundations of which are still visible. The structure is located in the northern part of Mount Dajti National Park, with the village of Ferraj on the right bank. Upstream, on the left bank, the SH 51 national road enters the pretty Brarr canyon 4 km further on.
