KRUJA'S OLD BAZAAR
Old Ottoman shopping street. Workshops and stores sell everything from handicrafts to products.
This old Ottoman shopping district (Pazari e Vjetër) consists of a single elegant cobbled street 250 m long. It is lined with souvenir stores and workshops of goldsmith, brassware and embroidery. It extends between the mosque Murad-Bey (Xhamia Muratbeu), which dates from the same period (1533), and the entrance to the citadel of Kruja. Here you can buy kilims, the traditional thick Albanian socks(çorape) or, more fun, small marble ashtrays in the shape of a bunker. Beware of scams and made in China.
