This small Catholic church, rebuilt in 2006, is one of the country's most photographed monuments. Superb natural setting.

This small Catholic church (Kisha e Shën Gjonit) sits majestically in the middle of the valley, with its steeple, nave and apse covered in whitewash and the mountains in the background. Erected in 1892, it was restored in 2006 with the help of descendants of Theth immigrants to the USA. Every August 15, on the feast of the Assumption, a feast is held for girls married outside the village who return to their parents' home on this day.

quel style

Elle est vraiment le symbole religieux de cette vallée, cette église à un style vraiment "montagne", faite de bois et s'insère bien dans le site, située en hauteur sur un plateau elle appelle à la visite (libre et gratuite).
