MUSÉE DE DIBRA
Small regional museum. Collections of archaeology, history and ethnography in a neoclassical building dating from the 1930s.
Founded in 1964, the Dibra District Museum (Muzeu i Dibrës) is located next to the small University of Peshkopi, in a neoclassical building dating from the 1930s. The archaeology room houses an ancient helmet and weapons, as well as a 3rd-century BC pithos (large jar) from the village of Grazhdan (13 km to the south). The history room presents the great figures of the region, including Skanderbeg. The ethnography room displays ancient costumes and traditional local objects.
