PROMENADE VOLGA
Seafront promenade starting from the port. Beaches, green spaces, marina, modern pier, hotels, restaurants, cafés, etc.
This waterfront promenade (Shëtitorja Vollga) stretches for 1.5 km from the container terminal and the small fishing port. It is very busy with its beaches, green areas and the Ventus pier (2016) which houses a marina, hotel and restaurants. The promenade owes its name to the former naval headquarters built in 1939 near the Venetian tower. It was transformed into a hotel by the Italians and renamed "Vollga" as a sign of friendship with the Russians until the breakup with the USSR in 1960. It is now abandoned.
